Toronto, Canada — [July 8, 2026]Mosaic Manufacturing and kristoFOAM have announced a collaboration to develop advanced additive manufacturing solutions and applications for digitally produced foam products. This partnership brings together kristoFOAM’s deep expertise in foam manufacturing with Mosaic’s automated 3D printing platform to advance the development and commercialization of foam production technologies.

Mosaic Manufacturing develops application-focused manufacturing solutions powered by additive manufacturing. Combining automation, software, materials, and production expertise, Mosaic helps organizations solve complex manufacturing challenges related to scalability, labour, customization, supply chains, and production efficiency across industries, including medical technology, industrial manufacturing, consumer products, and high-performance production applications. Mosaic is responsible for high-flow foam printhead development, scan-to-production digital workflow automation, foam material qualification, and Canvas software enhancements.

kristoFOAM brings more than four decades of expertise in engineered foam manufacturing and industrial application development. The company provides real-world production validation for new foam manufacturing technologies, helping refine machine performance, establish application-specific benchmarks, and accelerate adoption across automotive, protective packaging, material handling, and other industrial markets.

By combining kristoFOAM’s extensive expertise with Mosaic’s digital manufacturing capabilities, the partnership aims to develop new methods for designing, producing, and scaling foam-based products across a range of industries.

Foam products play a critical role in sectors including medical, industrial, transportation, consumer goods, packaging, and protective equipment. Despite their widespread use, many foam manufacturing processes still rely on tooling-intensive methods that require significant upfront investment, long lead times, and limited design flexibility.

As manufacturers face growing pressure to deliver more customized and complex foam products while reducing development timelines and increasing design flexibility, the limitations of conventional production methods have become increasingly apparent.

Through this collaboration, Mosaic and kristoFOAM are working to replace traditional tooling-based workflows with digital manufacturing processes that enable faster product development, rapid design iteration, and more flexible production. Additive manufacturing also unlocks new design possibilities that are difficult or impossible to achieve using conventional foam manufacturing methods, including precise control of material properties, variable-density structures, and highly complex geometries.

By digitally producing foam products, manufacturers can reduce labour requirements, eliminate tooling and moulds, minimize material waste, and create products with enhanced performance characteristics. The technology enables multi-density designs that optimize comfort, support, protection, and energy absorption while offering greater durability and design freedom.

“Foam products touch nearly every industry, yet the manufacturing processes behind them have remained largely unchanged for decades,” said Mitch Debora, CEO of Mosaic Manufacturing. “Together with kristoFOAM, we’re applying the latest advances in additive manufacturing to unlock new product capabilities, faster development cycles, and more responsive production.”

This multidisciplinary capability allows Mosaic to rapidly develop, validate, and scale emerging production technologies alongside industry partners.

“For over 40 years, kristoFOAM has built a reputation founded on Quality, Service and Innovation. To maintain this legacy, kristoFOAM continues to expand and improve its industry-leading CAD capabilities and its design and manufacturing technology. Without innovation, there is only stagnation.

Partnering with Mosaic is another example of how innovation is expanding kristoFOAM’s value proposition and relentless desire to meet and exceed customer expectations. Additive manufacturing offers customers more freedom and agility in all areas, including design, development and manufacturing. We are very excited to work alongside Mosaic to bring these new capabilities to customers and to continue to be the leading-edge supplier in the various industries we serve.”

Mike Dalakis

VP of Operations at kristoFOAM

As the manufacturing sector continues its transition to digital production, Mosaic and kristoFOAM are working to lay the foundation for the next generation of foam manufacturing.

“The most exciting innovations happen when deep manufacturing expertise meets breakthrough technology. kristoFOAM brings decades of experience in foam production, and together we’re working to turn new ideas into practical, scalable manufacturing solutions,” added Debora. “The future of manufacturing is increasingly digital. By combining kristoFOAM’s production expertise with Mosaic’s additive manufacturing platform, we’re creating a foundation to develop and scale the next generation of foam products.”
