Standard Terms & Conditions

1. Model Integrity & Design Liability

  • Customer Responsibility: The customer is solely responsible for the structural integrity and functionality of the provided 3D model.
  • “Print-Ready” Status: Quotes are based on the assumption that files are “print-ready.” Any necessary repairs (manifold fixes, wall thickening) may incur additional engineering fees.
  • No Guarantees: We do not guarantee that a part will perform for a specific mechanical purpose unless a formal engineering consultation was part of the project scope.

2. Quality & Tolerances

  • Process Limitations: 3D printing is an additive process; visible layer lines, minor surface artifacts, and support structure marks are inherent to the technology and are not considered defects.
  • Standard Tolerances: Unless otherwise specified in writing, we adhere to a standard tolerance of ±0.2mm or 2%, whichever is greater.
  • Material Variance: Colors may vary slightly between batches. High-temperature environments may cause warping in crertain materials (e.g., PLA).

3. Production & Lead Times

  • Estimated Dates: Lead times provided in quotes are estimates, not guarantees. Production begins only after payment confirmation and receipt of final files.
  • Machine Failure: In the rare event of a hardware failure or “spaghetti” print, we reserve the right to extend the lead time to successfully complete the project.

4. Intellectual Property & Usage

  • Ownership: The customer retains all rights to the uploaded designs.
  • Restricted Content: We reserve the right to refuse any project that violates local laws, including the production of weapons, regulated components, or copyrighted material without permission.

5. Returns & Refunds

  • Custom Nature: Since parts are custom-manufactured to your specifications, all sales are final.
  • Defects: If a part deviates significantly from the quoted specifications or arrives damaged, the customer must notify us within 48 hours of delivery for a replacement review.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Total Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider’s total liability for any claim (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) is limited strictly to the total amount paid by the Customer for the specific project in question.
  • No Consequential Damages: Under no circumstances shall the Service Provider be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Loss of profits or business revenue.
    • Damage to other equipment or property.
    • Labor costs for installation or removal of the part.
  • “As-Is” Service: Parts are provided “as-is.” We disclaim all implied warranties, including the Warranty of Merchantability and the Warranty of Fitness for a Particular Purpose. The Customer is solely responsible for determining if the material and design are safe for the intended use.

7. Indemnification

The Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Service Provider from any and all claims, damages, or legal fees arising from:

  • Design Defects: Any injury or property damage caused by the failure of a part designed by the Customer.
  • IP Infringement: Any legal action taken by a third party alleging that the printed model infringes on their patent, copyright, or trademark.
  • Misuse: Any injury resulting from the use of a printed part in a high-risk environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, or medical) without prior written certification from the Service Provider.

8. High-Risk Applications Warning

Notice: 3D printed parts are generally intended for prototyping and aesthetic use. Unless otherwise stated, parts are NOT certified for life-safety, load-bearing, food contact, biocompatibility, or high-stress functional applications. Use in such environments is at the Customer’s own risk.
